Peanut Yoyo!!

Yoyo means ice blended. So it is peanut ice blended I am talking bout. This favourite ice blended is definately not a miss whenever I am in mainland! Hehee

Peanut Yoyo!

One glass of it, you are mostly likely to get sore throat! But then I really lurvvveee it! It is super rich and thick! And guess how much it is? RM1.30 only! Where can you find that in Penang island!

They even have honey dew yoyo, mango yoyo, ciku yoyo, red bean yoyo, corn yoyo and the list goes on. Whatever that can be blended and eaten, they have got all.

It is located in a food court inside housing area. Closed on Mondays.

How to get there: If you come from the Penang Bridge, follow the road towards Kulim/Butterworth, keep straight. Then you'll approach Exit 163(Signboard:Kulim High Tech), take that exit, you'll reach a roundabout with traffic lights. Turn left (9 o'clock)and then just before the Caltex, turn left again. You'll now be in a housing area. Turn left again at the first turning, and follow the road until you see the food court. Below is a map giving a clearer picture on how to get there.

Freshwater Fish, Anyone?

Last Saturday, we had a road trip to Sungai Kob and Sungai Sedim, Kulim. Sungai Kob for food whereas Sungai Sedim for nature walk.

Sungai Kob is off Kulim Hi-Tech Park where Silterra, Infineon, and etc situated. So why Sungai Kob? Cos there is a restaurant somewhere inside this small town/pekan.

Heard before Jason of Astro AEC? This particular restaurant was featured before in his show. It serves freshwater fish and only freshwater fish. You cannot
find chicken, meat or anything here but ONLY fish!

It is situated in a very sua par place deep inside the oil palm plantation and this is a freshwater fish farm first before it became a restaurant. It is 1.5km from the mainroad and the road was bumpy, so if your car is lowered, beware. You'll see alot of signs helping you to get access to the restaurant.

The first sign

The second sign

The third sign

Here we are..

It is said that there are alot of flies. But when we were there, there were flies but not that much lo.

We reached there around 1pm and was greeted by a fierce aunty taking order from us.

Fierce aunty: Lai, What fish want to order?
Us :Aunty, got what fish ar?
Fierce Aunty:(muttering all the fish dishes available)
Me :What type of fish is that?
Fierce Aunty:Freshwater fish la!
Me : -_-|||

Okie..I might be quite stupiak sometimes.Ignore me.

So we ordered three types of fish dishes and a vege dish. While waiting for the dishes to come, we went for a walk among the ponds.

The Patin fish pond

The Tilapia pond

Me and the carp pond

While walked back to the restaurant, WH told me that the fierce aunty was looking for us when the food was served. The conversation goes like this..

Fierce Aunty: Eh where are them?
WH : Oh, they went for a walk
Fierce Aunty: How come you all know about this place?
WH :We searched from the Internet
Fierce Aunty: Oh..you dunno meh...You know the Jason of Astro AEC came here and
interviewed us and was featured in his show.
WH : We don't have Astro wan at home...-__-|||

Fierce Aunty walked back to the counter and take something

Fierce Aunty: Nah, I give u this CD..You go home and see then you'll know what to do order next time you come here.

Apparently, the whole show was in Mandarin and I dont quite understand what they are talking bout. I just know that they have seven type of fishes only. Thats all.

Three Flavors Tilapia

Steamed fish with garlic

Deep Fried Patin with black soya sauce

The Deep Fried Patin with black soya sauce dish is actually QUARTER of the original size of a Patin fish! Just imagine how big the fish is! Thats why you never see a tail there...and it looks weird!O.o

All the fish dishes are nice and very fresh.Patin steamed with garlic is highly recommended! The total bill is RM124 for eight person including drinks and rice which is reasonable I would say.

Oh ya, the map to the restaurant, just in case you guys wanna go there. This map is a combination of going to the Tree Top Walk in Sungai Sedim and to the Restaurant. I took it from the Tree Top Walk website. I know this map is kinda small..umm..cos I really dont know how to enlarge it! The restaurant is highlighted in PINK colour font.

Gonna blog later about Sungai Sedim, this entry is quite long dee...hehe.

Ask any Ipoh folk about which rest sells the best Ngah Choy Kai, they will surely say Onn Kee Rest.

Total price is 38 bucks

The whole trip was nice and I believe everyone of us did enjoyed ourselves. I will definately go back there just for Ngah Choy Kai!

What Hurts The Most...

I like this song so much that I keep listening to it whenever I am in office. So meaningful lo..it almost makes me cry. It is so true that we NEVER realise how much you love someone till they are gone..

I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don’t bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out
I’m not afraid to cry every once in a while
Even though going on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I’m ok
But that’s not what gets me

What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was tryin’ to do

It’s hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go
But I’m doin’ It
It’s hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I’m alone
Still Harder
Getting up, getting dressed, livin’ with this regret
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

23rd birthday + Glo

Last weekend was the most hectic and fun one.

All my friends have graduated at last.. Congratss!

My Fav Pic!

Okie, last Friday was my 23rd birthday and I usually won't take leave on my big day cos there is nothing to umm..I don't know..I just don't take leave la..but this year I took bcos it's different and there is no need to know why. Hehe..

The whole day I was in USM till evening, got back home to get prepared for the supposedly badminton competition and no, it was not me who competed. I am not that expert yet. ^_^ I was supposed to be just an audience. And the supposedly badminton competition turned out to be a birthday suprise! Haha!

I actually can't believe that I was such a stupid person, believing every single story my friends made up. -_-...

That very night, my friends suggested to go to Glo. So, Glo we went. Reached there around 12 and it was so packed inside lo!

And we ended our night mamaking at Ali Celcom..=)
